The Western Australian Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages issues certificates for births registered in Western Australia. If the birth occurred in another State, contact the relevant Registry Office.
Certificates will only be issued where:
A person must be at least 16 years of age to apply for a certificate and must provide their identification.
Please see the Registry's Birth Certificate Access Policy for your eligibility and specific requirements.
If you are not an eligible applicant you must provide the written consent or authority from an eligible person and you must also provide identification for yourself and the person for whom you are acting. (See Letter of Authority download below).
There is unrestricted access and no identification requirements are needed for births that occurred more than 75 years ago.
