The Registry can only record the information provided at the time of registration. Some registrations have inaccurate or missing information. This is particularly the case with 19th century records when high rates of illiteracy led to spelling variations and errors in recording information.
Prior to 1896, the registrations contained limited information. For example:
Birth registrations do not show:
Death registrations do not show:
Marriage registrations do not show:
After 1896, the registrations contain the above information if it was provided at the time of registration. It is possible that some events were never registered, therefore the registry will not have a record.
